Method 1.
Click Start and then select RUN, type below command and click OK
REG ADD "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer" /V ClassicShell /T REG_DWORD /F /D 0
Method 2.
Download reg file to resolve the issue
Method 3.
There's a thing you can try though:1. Go to Start -> Run and type: gpedit.msc and hit the Enter/Return key on your keyboard.
2. Go to User Configuration in the tree on the left. Select Administrative Templates.
3. In Administrative Templates select Windows Components.
4. In Windows Components select Windows Explorer.
5. A list of properties appears to your right. Go to "Turn on classic shell". Doubleclick on it.
6. A dialog appears with a few options. Select "Not configured" and click Apply and then OK.
If done correctly try going to the Display properties tab again. The Desktop-tab should be visible now. This can take a minute or two however after you changed the setting. So if it isn't there the first time, try it again.
Method 3.
Download Trojan Remover and run it.
